This service provides an inexpensive, quick and objective analysis of your development organization. It can be used as input to a project retrospective, initial insight towards an improvement initiative, or simply to provide another set of data points to help you manage your team effectively. Insightful, objective feedback provides information for immediate use.

We will administer a web-based diagnostic of practices and performance for your entire team, and provide objective feedback to the group to help you better understand how you are actually performing.

We will also benchmark your results against industry data, generating an Effectiveness Quotient (or EQ) that allows unbiased direct comparison against other organizations. We already have over 650 responses from 60 different groups, with EQ's ranging from 75 to 150 (just as with an IQ, 100 reflects the mean), and have observed a strong correlation between a group's Effectiveness Quotient and their actual capabilities and performance.

You will get feedback on data correlation, team demographics, capabilities vs. performance and pains, key risks the team faces and magnitudes of costs, and recommended next steps for improvement.

In all cases, personal contact information remains confidential and will not be used for other purposes. All feedback is provided in aggregated form and is completely anonymous, providing a higher likelihood of frank, honest responses.

The diagnostic is extremely flexible: you can opt to explicitly compare different groups within your organization against one another, compare against industry averages, or periodically check progress of your group over time.
